I will be periodically adding local attractions on this page as I find the time to do so. There’s a lot of fun stuff here at the Crystal Coast. Since I live here though, I kind of take them for granted.
One of my favorite attractions in our area is the NC Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores. This is a really neat place to spend the day with friends and family. I always learn something new each time I visit.
Ft. Macon in Atlantic Beach is a historical landmark and an important part of Civil War history. Plus it is one of my favorite fishing spots.
The beaches are probably the main attraction to our area. Its the second reason for me moving here. The first was to be closer to my family in Cape Carteret.
Cape Lookout Lighthouse is a famous landmark and really neat place to visit. I’ve only made it out there once since I moved here, but plan on heading there again in the near future. Its a great place to have a picnic lunch and do some beach combing.
