Carteret County Attorneys
Ahhh yes the proverbial wheels of justice. I have always been fascinated with our legal system here in the United States. Mainly because EVERYONE is supposed to get a fair trial and no matter the charges brought against you, you have the right to hire an attorney to represent you and speak on your behalf.
Carteret County is an awesome place to visit on vacation, or to call home throughout the year. However, if you look around, you’ll notice a seemingly large proportion of law enforcement in the area. While this has the upside of keeping the criminal element of society in check, it also increases your chances of having an encounter with a police officer. Unfortunately in this day and age law officers are taught that everyone is a criminal and is guilty of “something”. So they work hard at successfully finding an infraction to ticket you or arrest you for.
And if you’ve ever found yourself on the wrong side of the law; you know it can be intimidating and embarrassing at times. Personally, if I have the funds available I prefer to fight any charges tooth and nail. Half the time if you have a decent attorney, you can either get the charges dropped completely or at least lowered to less serious ones. Plus if I’m giving my hard-earned money to the state, I want to make it cost more prosecuting me than they get in fines and court costs.
In order to do this effectively, the services of a good attorney are needed. Especially when facing serious charges like DUI/DWI or anything involving points on your license or jail time. A good attorney is a priceless ally in your fight against the state. Most Carteret County lawyers have offices located in Beaufort, but plenty others are scattered throughout the county.
I’ve spent many hours in the Carteret County Courthouse and have seen many of our attorneys in action. I’ve also retained the services of a couple of them, and drank beer with others
